About this Teacher:
|
Lindsay was introduced to the spiritual side of yoga at a very young age when she attended visualization, meditation and relaxation classes through her figure skating club. After attending her first Hatha yoga class as a teenager she was intrigued and curious about the mind-body connection but it wasn't until after her year overseas teaching English and traveling that a deep curiosity for answers to the bigger questions in life was sparked. She started on a path of self-discovery and self-inquiry only to find that there were many layers to herself and only a few of those layers had been revealed. This realization brought her back to the practice of yoga.
In 2009 Lindsay became a certified yoga teacher through the Kripalu School of Yoga and has since spent countless hours upgrading her training and deepening her personal practice.
Lindsay has studied under many influential teachers including Devarshi Stephen Hartman, Priti Robyn Ross, Sudha Carolyn Lundeen, Katie Brauer, Premshakti, Rodney Yee, Colleen Saidman, Dharma Mittra, Mark Laham, Shari Vilchez-Blatt, Nicheala Joy Devi, Seane Corn and Cynthia Funk. She has been a program assistant for Yoga Alliance 200 hr teacher trainings at the Kripalu Centre for Yoga and Health and holds workshops and yoga retreats throughout the year.
Her passion for yoga and life is evident in everything that she does. Known for her inspirational teaching style and ability to create a safe and sacred space, Lindsay encourages students to find their own expression of each posture and explore their edge as they connect with the breath and honour the wisdom of the body.
Her classes are a blend of Kripalu / Vinyasa Flow yoga infused with yoga philosophy, technical alignment and her heartfelt humour. She has traveled extensively throughout Europe, Asia and North America and draws on these life experiences to bring you a truly multidimensional practice.
Lindsay is a certified teacher of Kripalu Yoga, Pre/Post Natal Yoga, The Yoga Birth method and Children's Yoga.
